Dear Lillian:

Number 41 passed on CD Tom zart. Thank you for thinking of me. I am grateful for your efforts to honor our brave military and their families. America needs to these brave men and women a debt of gratitude, and I am honored to be the commander in chief of the greatest force for freedom in history world.

Best Wishes.

Best regards,

George W. Bush

Unyielding HONOR

Weakness invites moral plight, war and aggression

Encouraged by mistrust, misjudgment and delay.

All we love can be destroyed and transformed

By the powers of darkness maneuvering our way.

When we look at something nasty in the face

To corrupt our morals, faith and determination.

God gives us courage to defend what is right

No matter the sacrifice or danger involved.

Evil seeks to destroy the good in man

And the silent memory of God's law.

It belongs to the faithful to stay unyielding

Defending freedom and justice for all.

Our men and women who are in danger

Are the weapons that the free world depends.

Without their sacrifice Body and soul

Everything we stand for is gone.

God loves his SOLDIERS

It is sometimes difficult to protect what is right

Sometimes we're scorned as for the other fight.

Some of us are ready regardless of loss

To commit our soul to save the cross.

Evil thrives on greed and hatred of man

Always eager to destroy and defecate.

The grace of God descends upon the soul of man

Purification the impure wherever he can.

As long as man has struggled on earth

Life has its problems from birth.

The seed God's goodness has delayed the disappearance of man

Thank Heaven for his heroes, strong and wise.

The Lord loves Yesterday's heroes

How many, that alone could tell.

God loves his soldiers who line up to serve

Permanent against evil His grace they deserve.

Never afraid to be proud of America

America, abundant, the place of my birth
I will cherish until I die.
When the bones of past heroes lie buried in soil
Who loved the same as I.

Its mountains are so high they reach the sky
Meadows where the grass green.
There billions of trees where wild birds nest
With creatures that flourish below.

That blue gold called water with which we are fortunate
As raindrops or crystallized snow;
Changes to rivers and freshwater lakes
While the winds our seasons.

It is the haunt of a whistle from a lonely freight train
Racing on ribbons of steel
With the harvest of farms and factories
Balanced in a box on a wheel.

Some cities have a hundred stories of tall buildings
Structures concrete, glass and steel.
A statue in a harbor, a gift from France
Describes how, inside, we feel.

The flag on the moon with red and white stripes
Proves America's dreams come true.
A country of heroes who line up to protect
The past, present and few.

We'll defeat terrorism as it should be fought
Never letting Satan's horde chase us to our door.
Safeguarding our borders and way of life
As our forefathers sacrificed before.

Never be afraid to be proud American
And in March, the brave, faithful and just.

Refusing to submit to the will of our enemies

A firm stand to preserve what we trust.

IN THE TEETH OF THE DOG

Throughout history the man is born to fight

Surviving nature, disease, greed and war.

Since its conception it has remained the same

Having chosen to serve evil or good as before.

Our boys and girls are the dog's teeth

In hot spots throughout our land.

They leave their families and everything they love

To protect and preserve what liberty is.

The enemies they face are the mad dogs of man

With the desire to kill, disfigure and enslave.

They sing and dance to the death of another

Teaching principles of hate till the grave.

Support our troops who fight the horde

While we live the good life back home.

When you see a soldier show them your smile

Say hello we love you and you're not alone. "

THE MAD DOGS OF MAN

Wherever live mad dogs of man

There is corruption, plunder and hate.

In each city, town or village

Those who promote distrust deserve their fate.

Everyone is born as an innocent child

Till mislead by others along the way.

God has always loved her children

Despite it breaks his heart when they stray.

The mad dogs of man never repent

Because they have no sense of shame or sadness.

Adoring dominance and the dark side of life

Abuse victims as if there was no tomorrow.

God gives the will to sin no more

And to overcome evil unwilling to cease.

The mad dogs of man must be stopped

Who murder, rape and destroy world peace.

Samson, David and Solomon

Have been chosen by God to walk tall.

They faced great odds and the fear of death

Refusing to ignore their call.

The time has come for good men to Earth

To unite to stop the horde.

Standing firm against tyranny where it exists

Putting the mad dogs of man to the sword.

Where wars won or lost

Wars are conducted by older men
In battle rooms in other countries.
Who call for greater firepower
And troops for the combat chart.

Although among the shattered flesh
The dreams of all turned gray.
So young and determined their faces were
Until the battlefield they were.

Unable overcome their pride
Politicians cast their votes.
For this or that or something else
The fury of war sounds its note.

Wherever wars are won or lost
The soldiers fall like toys.
Throughout history, it remains the same
Most of those who die are hardly more than boys.

Like monkeys in a cage rotating
Quarrels of Man for the peanut power.
When will we rise above our greed
And to become as a beautiful flower?

Death to death, dust to dust
Anger War is a horrible crime.
It's The Beast Within which still prevails
As it has through the torments of the era.

THE WAR IS THE GREATEST PLAGUE OF MAN

While the war is fought it takes care
And events spin out of control.
The madness of men can alter the soil
Who feeds the roots of their soul.

Many things will change forever
Much more then wanted to be.
As the wrath of war starts to destroy
Those things we fight to keep free.

War is the greatest scourge of human
Religion, State and sanity.
Any scourge is more preferred
Whoever disables humanity.

When war breaks out, boundaries change
And all those who die are a token
The rage that must run its course
Before words of peace are spoken.

I hate war, but not men, flags nor race
But the war itself with its ugly face.
When we lose faith in the brave, which die
Then it is not able to accommodate those who weep.

What distinguishes war is not death
But this man is killed by his neighbor.
Crushed by cruelty and injustice
With his deadly enemy hands.

War tends Punish Punishment
Thus, the losers will not suffer alone.
The essence of war, but violence
Until the survivors come running home.

It is sometimes difficult to defend what is right
Sometimes we are forced to stand and fight.
Sometimes we survive, while others must die
Sometimes never knowing the reason.

The rush of battle is a natural buzz
Caused by fear, leaving nothing in the state.
Chase each other like wild game
No shortage of those to blame.

Sometimes victory comes too slow or Quick
Sometimes the cost of both sides is sick.
Sometimes God is asked to intervene
To help stop the savage from being so bad.

War is hell we visit before death
Fueled by the whisper of the breath of the devil.
There must be a reason man destroys man
But why this is so, I can not understand.

September 11

After have suffered the wrath of a sneak attack
America now mourns to her very essence.
Though soon her enemies shall all but flee
From the American war in full.

Let there be no doubt, no doubt at all
The devil has decided give us a call.
We will defeat the soldiers threw hell
And if we die, that's what freedom is about.

We'll get them wherever they hide in May
Street by street, house by house, cave by cave.
They will be eradicated from the face of the earth
By fair, loyal and brave.

SATAN'S HORDE SHALL BE REMOVED

Exceeding the war and uncontrolled Leaders
Our world becomes more dangerous every day.
Dishonest politicians, criminals and the media
Survive by their falsehoods at play.

Believe in the Bible, preaching that the end is near
Our world as a whole is beyond reform.
God will not eradicate all that is wicked
For his fire of eruption and storm.

At the victory of evil, I do concede
May its supporters anguish in hell.
By the grace of God and the power of faith
The goodness of man will prevail.

What we do is measure sky
As patriots respond to the threats of man.
Protect and defend what we love till death
As soldiers Satan arise sand.

Son and Daughters of the Third World War

Our son and daughters serving In Harm's Way
To defend our way of life.
Some are students, some grandparents
More than one husband or wife.

They face at odds very well, without complaint
Gambling life and limb for little pay.
So far from what they love
Fight our soldiers for whom we pray.

The plotters and planners of Doom America
Pledge to murder and maim all they can.
From childhood they are taught
To kill is to become a man.

They exploit their young as weapons of choice
Teaching in the heaven, virgins will await.
Destroying lives with their own
To learn of their falsehoods too late.

The terrible cry we must submit
And find a way to calm them.
Where defenders worry if we withdrew
The future is bleak for America.

Now's no time for fighting each other
Or kiss the cheek of our enemies.
Throughout history, it remains the same
The strong enslave weaker.

May God continue to bless America
Refusing evil, the upper hand.
We have to stand firm
Defending the freedom of man.

SO dear to my heart

So dear to my heart are mine home
As I throw and I turn in my bed alone.
Everyday I see death, hate, and corruption
The battle is God's proof dysfunction of human

For family, comrades and I pray
In my love with this poem I want to convey.
I knew I loved you though never how
Until the war, I'm forced beyond your touch.

Where violence is growing, there is the stench of death
With the taste of fear on every breath.
Who prevails, which must die
As the sadistic killing in God's heaven.

Baghdad has become man highway to hell
When the heart of darkness are alive and well.
I count each day until he Time to come home
And being with my love and never alone.

Love You
Your Navy

FREEDOM

In their new uniforms
Youth March off
Not knowing who is back.
With a dedication proud
They brandish their flag
Leaving loved ones to wonder and yearn.

May we all be buried
For all our children
Prayer is a tribal elder.
They are so easy to lose
But so hard to forget
Such a burden for a parent to bear.

Ah, the taste of victory
Quickly forgotten
But what was never lost.
For rows of white tombstones
In peaceful green fields
Make it easy to tally the cost.

America has survived all attempts to destroy
Knowing the cruelty of war
And we who remain
Must help keep her free
For those that Mars can not anymore!

Our flag

Our flag is woven wire cloth
Led by heroes, alive or dead.
She stands for justice and courage too
With its color, red, white and blue.

For all those who serve, there will be cheers
For all those who die, there will be tears.
For all those who love, life is swell
For those who do evil, war is hell.

How many moms have cried before
As they sent their children to war.
How many fathers have not returned
Because our freedom must be earned.

The wars were taken the brave died
As patriots fought side by side.
Our flag is still the pearl of the earth
Cause of those who prove their value.

LOVE OF COUNTRY

I dedicate this poem inside my tent
As the winds of the desert keep it's silhouette bent.
My love of country is now in full boil
I want to describe, but it is difficult to know how.

Tomorrow I'll hunt those who enjoy our death
Cursed by their hatred and dirt from blowing.
I do not care if it's another God they serve
For their crime of retribution is what they deserve.

Their horde survives by a different set of rules,
Although they soon learn the fate of murderous fools.
I proudly serve my country and President
Who I am sworn to defend one hundred percent.

While haunted by visions of what I do
I fight for justice, and red, white and blue.

Veteran's Day

The cost of freedom is sometimes high
Extremely more when our beloved died.
Men and women are committed to fight and serve
And that they deserve our support.

Humanity itself is the only one to blame
That throughout history, the story is the same.
Peace, like love, can be difficult to acquire
Always subject to enemy fire.

Some how the righteous tend to prevail
During the miss-guided, prone to failure.
No wonder we fear the languages that are
As mankind squabbles beneath the sky of God.

The danger our soldiers face is real
So lets them know how we feel.
Put forth your flag and show your heart
As those we love our departure.

THE BATTLE OF BAGHDAD

Determined though scared, I walk my beat
In the deadly streets Baghdad.
Finding all those who plot our harm
Or by our death are joyous and happy.

Standing in shadows caused by the moon
I remember my nights at home.
I wonder if the woman I love
Getting tired of sleeping alone?

I have remorse for those who living here
For this place is hell of a madman.
And those who want this to continue
Must be killed or locked up in prison.

My greatest fear is not my death
But I'll end up in wheelchairs.
Disabilities for the rest of my life
Depending on other for my care.

My wife, she prays for my safe return
Like night and day more GI's are killed.
She knows very well, all it takes
The oath that I have given will be fulfilled.

SADDAM

The King of Baghdad fallen
Never again dictate.
Man condemned for this crime
And heaven Shun him for his sin.

For his tyranny, he was famous
In all the capitals of the world.
Till apprehended in his spider hole
Completely stripped of its value.

He is guilty of rape and genocide
While he ruled without remorse.
Its power and prestige were toppled
Once George Bush has set its course.

Although it may seem that the wicked triumph
And have conquered by their brutality of hand,
For power the faith they are defeated
By the seed of goodness in man.

FANTASTIC FOE

America is the birthday cake of earth
Like ants to March each direction.
Thank you God for all those who have sworn to defend his
Serve with love, honor, pride and affection.

Since the first days George Washington went to war
It There were those who sought our demise.
Their hatred, fueled by jealousy and greed
Was defeated by our brave and wise.

Once again, we face a formidable foe
Who are bound by their God to destroy us all
Abusing their faith as an excuse to kill
As for a jihad in the world, their leaders call.

Some say we should try to appease
For if we resist, they will hate us more.
But the David among us must cast our stones
Defeating them, as has been done before.

SHOULD TOMORROW START WITHOUT ME

Tomorrow should start without me
Remember I love you.
Looking down from high above
Seeing all what you do.

If I become an accident
Please Will Love Again
Who always makes happy
I'll consider my friend.

Tomorrow should start without me
Remind our boys, God loves all who care.
And when life seems too harsh and cruel
With "Him" they must share their prayer.

I proved that I am not a coward
Who manages breaks and survive.
Always fearing death Kiss me
While the streets of Baghdad I drive.

Tomorrow should start without me
Be proud I choose to serve.
Our faith and our patriotism
Earn the freedom we deserve.

I miss home more than ever
It breaks my heart to stay away
I can not help Want to Hold You
And whisper what I say.

AMERICAN SOLDIER

Our soldiers tail to remember
Like the best of the best in their work.
They want to be necessary and depends on
To save all we love the crowd.

They risk their lives to freedom
Standing firm against evil unwilling to break.
To be part of something bigger themselves
They are willing to sacrifice everything will go.

Thank heaven for Heroes

Thank heaven for the heroes to life
That lead us to triumph over those who are not.
The wise are grateful for all the blessings God
Where fools never realize what they have achieved.

America is the grain train earth
Whose people exercise rule by their vote.
All have a chance to participate and prosper
As they arrived on foot, by plane or boat.

Our freedom depends on the law of the land
Our future depends on our grain.
Our past has known both good and bad
And our mistakes we are willing to admit.

The Grim's heart to hate America
And choose to put her wonders to shame
The dedication of love and most of those who live here
Take defeat the soldiers of blame.

THE SOLITUDE OF THE WAR

I know that I'm still here so far, so far
As I fight for what I believe is right.
I wonder about you and your mother
Every moment of every day and night.

The loneliness of war can drive you crazy
If you do not get letters of concern from home.
Left, right behind and front
Leaving death awaits lovers only.

We pray to God that we shall be saved
To return home or live the here after.
Bloody, dirt covered men, we see every day
As we yearn for those moments of laughter.

The look of a distant fallen comrade
As you stay by his side till his end.
No mother ever carried her infant child
With more care, we'll make a friend.

Many have their own diaries
To help keep their faculties together.
Watching hot steel crash into human flesh
Always feel at home seem far better.

I became an expert at dodging, weaving and diving
So, do you try not worry too much about me.
Just help your mom and get up from the ground
And while I'm gone all you can be.

SACRIFICE, processing and Unrestricted Warfare

The Japanese had not lost the war since 1598
Each man carried 400 pieces of ammunition
(twice more than the American soldier)
With five days rations and fearless determination.

Men in uniform poorly wrapped Brown
Since their childhood had been taught
To die for the emperor and his country
Was the greatest of all glories to be sought.

In addition, equipment contributes was awesome
As sharpshooters they were accurate up to a thousand meters more.
Their ships were faster, their guns bigger, better their torpedoes
And their planes matchless in quality, aerobatics and score.

Only by sacrifice, transformation, and open access war
America is able to overcome and win.
Still, America must stand firm to survive
As we face a new monster from hell.

VIETNAM

Soldier in the Rain

I am a soldier standing in the rain
My memories home are what keep me sane.
Back at home is a land of milk and honey
Governed by greed and love of money.

But what can I say, when I serve her true
For I volunteered to see this war through.
Now I'm here, it's hard to believe
We are the victims of those who deceive.

As night falls on the rice fields of Nam
Scared men with rifles walk the shadows of the calm.
It is thousands of miles to the steps of my church
With its stained glass, steeples and souls looking lost.

In the distance I see an arc lamp
The bombs dropped on children at night.
I've seen that evil is called yellow rain
And how life withers when it is sprayed by an airplane.

All my friends have been abducted
No more touch football they never play.
Zipped in their body bags for the long journey home
Are among the bravest I have ever known.

The War is hell, invented by man
There is death in the sea, sky and earth.
Lord, I can not help but wish I were home
Back with my love, that hope alone?

DADS AT WAR

Where would I be without you dad
My hero night and day
I'm so glad you love my mother
And take time for us every day.

The last time we played baseball
You reached for me with your hand.
I've watched, then made a wish
I could have just half the man.

I love my father of this earth
And I love my father of heaven.
That's a lot for me to love, you know
For I am only eleven.

Mom and I sure miss you
Since you left to defend our flag.
When others ask where is your father
I can not help but boast and brag.

BALLS AND Barbwire

We woke to the crack of gunfire
With mortar shells hitting the ground nearby.
The shrapnel was absorbed by sand bags
Who has saved many of us who did not die.

The envelope hot shells fell to earth
As VC charged our fortified hill.
We killed so many the stench made us sick
While we fought to live and not for a thrill.

Mores Barbwire, bullets and clay wreaked havoc
As red and green tracers lit up the sky.
Before long I was the last GI left
When napalm caused my enemy fish to fry.

Fleeing the sound of our choppers gunfire
The enemy retreated into the caves and trees.
Then I cried, "thank you" air above
As I checked my buddies on my knees.

I managed to survive the day
Although I served many with names that I have read
Carved in the shinny black stone of The Wall
Are my comrades of the war, among the dead.

KOREA 1950

UN soldiers fought and were forced to retreat
Behind sandbags protected by rings of barbed wire.
Many GI's died they kept the attacks
By 810,000 Communist troops.

Our guys used phosphorus, flamethrowers and napalm
For without these weapons, they could not survive.
The accusations led by Communist bugles
Till the UN could it's shocking start driving.

On the battlefield of death and misery
Many froze with their hands still stuck to their guns.
While other clogged with their boots wrapped in rags
City boys, farmers, students, fathers and son.

With a million and a half dead or wounded
Both parties have burned a truce before generals involved.
July 27, 1953
And if thousands were orphaned, nothing was resolved.

WORLD WAR II

WAR

While the war is fought it takes care
And events spin out of control.
The madness of men can alter the soil
Who feeds the roots of their soul.

Many things will change forever
Much more then wanted to be.
As the wrath of war starts destroy
Those things we fight to keep free.

War is the greatest scourge of man
Religion, State and sanity.
Any scourge is more preferred
Whoever disables humanity.

When war breaks out, boundaries change
And all those who die are a token
The rage that must run its course
Before words of peace are spoken.

TROOP SHIP

Our ship had left before dawn
Surrounded by the thickest fog
Still ignorant of our destination
Or what was written in the diary of Captain.

It did not take long for me to see
Our cruise was not for fun
Experience Lifetime
With nowhere for us to run.

Twenty knots per hour, we met
As the white caps passed us by
Ten thousand young Americans
Outside Europe to die.

A sailor told us not to worry
One day, we would our mail.
Uncle Sam would ensure
Either way we sail.

Thirty meters deep I tried to sleep
Under the waterline of the ship
An invitation to claustrophobia
To enter my mind.

My favorite jacket was my May West
I wore all the time
Just in case of German submarines
Or a submarine mine.

Thirty-three days, we were at sea
We crossed the equator twice.
Several years have passed since
Those years of sacrifice.

BRAVERY

Many brave souls lived before now
Wept and unknown by their face.
Lost somewhere in the distant night
Up is a poet chronicles their grace.

True bravery is shown by the performance
Without witness, what is could be
Able to face the world
Without any or all to see.

How great the brave who rest in peace
All blessings of heaven to earth.
They gave our country but their best
Those who are destined to be brave from birth.

PEARL HARBOR

Sunday, December seventh
In the year 1941,
While most of Hawaii still slept
Came the planes of the Rising Sun.

Waves of bombers and fighters flew
From the decks of Japanese ships.
While our planes were still on the ground
"Banzai" was spoken from their lips.

The winds of war had ceased to breathe
Among oceans of our earth
Although not until Pearl had been bombed
Do we realize what freedom's worth.

Wars are fought and won on two fronts
At home and on the Battle Line.
Both are equally important
When the war consumes our heart and mind.

The attack brought us the Second World War
With death, pain and separation.
All those who had served were well aware
Their sacrifice for the nation.

CONFLICT

The height of the conflict we are sometimes confronted
The much more glorious is the victory.
The tyranny like hell is hard to overcome
When he raises his head throughout history.

War never leaves a country as it was
When neutrality is a word unknown.
As the hands deadly man himself
Are to blame for all those parties.

D - DAY ON WALL

Over two hundred guards Calibrated "The Wall"
A stone cliff over a hundred feet high.
Some of them did all the way up Page
While others fell and perished from their fall.

Those who have climbed, had answered God's call
For men to stop evil once and for all.
They fought the Germans and destroyed their guns
To save the lives of our fathers and son.

So many years have passed since
When the future of our world was saved by brave men.
We can not forget hell they have lived
Before the sky once again turned blue.

D-DAY

D-Day has raised the curtain on the conflict
Before the end of the shadow of Hitler's dream.
The largest joint combat landing ever
Although blood both sides flowed like a river.

When their boats hit the sand, their ramps went down
And all within paid a visit to hell.
They jumped to do good for their country
And to kill the enemy without fail.

They fought the Germans, tides, winds and waves
In conditions not easily foreseen.
By night, the battle was in our favor
With bravery, courage, death, and men shouting.

The corpses littered the beach for five miles
Though heroism had carried the day.
With literally thousands of dead or wounded
Those who remained were determined to stay.

They faced great odds and chose not to protest
And won the war who has a sore shame.
Most came home, married and raised their babies
But those who could not we recall with pain.

MIDWAY

It was the 4th June 1942
As I float in the ocean alone
The vessel had I sailed on, sank to the bottom
And I thought I might never again see home.

The Japanese fleet had steamed to the east
With intentions of capturing Midway.
Despite they were arrested by U.S. warships
Including guns, bombs and planes torpedoes saved the day.

All night I saw the fireworks of war
And the second day we turned the heat.
As big bombers from Hawaii dropped their loads
On Japanese ships who chose to retire soon.

An imperial pilot came Floating by
Who had been chewed by wild beasts of the sea
I could not help but feel a passion for what man
Who had answered his call just like me.

When it was over, I was plucked from the Deep
For men in a canoe rescue shortly after dawn.
For two days I had watched the battle for the, Midway
Now it is quiet and the enemy has disappeared.

SURVIVAL

I drifted all night and lose my hope
Before the light of the moon, I saw land.
I floated over and through its own coral beach
Where I quickly smoothed out my tracks in the sand.

Everything I had was my dagger and a canteen
And it was Mai 4 43.
Just me alone on an island enemy
Was it not a safe place for a sailor to be.

I felt I could kill in less than a heartbeat
If this is the right thing for me survive.
I have said many times thank you
For "God" is why I lived.

Off in the dark, I herd voices two men
Laughing and talking in a language not mine.
Inch by inch I crept to their campsite
When, what they were at the table, I'm about dinner.

I stabbed them both and took their fish, rice and wine
Then ran the way back to the raft from the beach.
Soon I was floating in the ocean again
And far enough where the bullets could not reach.

The next day I was picked up by a seaplane
Whose crew spotted my sail air.
Once inside and safe, I cried like a child
For deaths that would be forever there.

It was hard to believe that heaven let me live
A farm boy of Kansas, School last year.
My girlfriend is blond and she hates him, I'm gone
Even if I am a veteran of the battle death and fear.

OKINAWA

Okinawa was to be our last stop
Before we invaded Japan.
The largest landing of the Pacific War
What our soldiers ran across the sand.

At first our marines were scarcely opposed
But on the fifth day, hell they found.
A solid wall of human resistance
Firing their weapons in caves in soil.

Air power and big guns had little effect
On their cliff forts carved deep into the limestone.
It took man against man to eradicate
As bullets whizzed pierced flesh and bone.

Kamikaze pilots crashed their planes
Stunning transport and warships.
As the air force struck our imperial fleet
Cries of fear and hate spewed from mouth.

One hundred ten thousand Japanese
At the end of the battle were killed.
Over twelve thousand Americans died,
Before, just our flag flew over the field.

BATTLE OF THE ATLANTIC

After the fall of France in 1940
The Germans soon began their own dam
With most of their efforts in the Atlantic
Hoping to cut Britain's trade flow war.

With fast surface ships, as Bismarck
Merchant ships caught at sea, had little luck.
The small German navy ship after the ship sank
Until the British Navy destroyed war novel.

The loss of ships German submarines have increased
And the Battle of the Atlantic seemed lost.
But soon America would enter the war
To defeat the enemies of freedom at any price.

Multitudes would die and their families mourn
Before the Second World War would be fought at its end.
What a waste of humanity, which had lost its soul
Though now, our enemy is our friend.

PARTING

The truest words, which portray my love
I am writing to you from my heart.
May we always remember how we feel
Although the conflict we are forced to separate.

Nobody can say how long they will last
Because life is not eternal.
Yet most hope to be blessed by love
For he who does our casting.

As the fear of battle bites my flesh
My thoughts of home help keep me sane.
There is no guarantee that I will survive
But anyway, I shall serve without shame.

If the cold hands of death reach for me
I pray that my soul awakens from his sleep.
For the voice of God assuring
Let my mind, he was chosen to keep.

Then try to remember while I'm gone
That the person I need most is you.
I will fight like hell to stay alive
To return home to the love that I knew.

POW

When you become a prisoner of war
You think you've lost your liberty and more
The guy with the gun tells you what do
As you seek freedom you had before.

Your will to survive helps you stay alive
Though sometimes you wish you were death.
Tortures far beyond any normal mind
And there is no security even in your bed.

Bullets, barbed wire, searchlights and sharp teeth
You keep in a place you do not want to be.
The food is pretty awful and sometimes it moves
And you no choice of what you hear or see.

The lucky are released and return home
Though in their dreams, their fate is uncertain.
War may be hell, but confinement is worse
Cause after you like you never were.

General Quarters

General Quarters, Headquarters
All hands man your battle station!
Sunday morning, December 7
While the war facing our nation.

We quickly found that this was not an exercise
But instead it was war for real.
When you look at the death of friends and shipmates
It's more anger than fear you feel.

Japanese warplanes are came flying down
As I took aim with my gun sight.
From the deck of a ship anchored at Pearl
Damaged, but the crew always eager to fight.

I saw the face of a driver who fell
Surrounded by black smoke and fire.
Some of my bullets had found their mark.
For his death was but my desire!

Two thousand three hundred twenty-three dead
In a battle of less two hours.
With the heart of our Pacific fleet gone
Japan dropped their naval powers.

The bombing and strafing of ships and troops
The cause of our Congress to declare war.
Where more than one man gave his life
Fighting for flag, country and more yet.

KENNEDY = The Second World War
PT-109

After the attack on Pearl Harbor
He asked the sea service during the war.
Where Lieutenant John F. Kennedy
Became known for his bravery and more.

In the dark hours before dawn
On 2 August, 43.
Kennedy commanded a torpedo boat
Through the blackness of night at sea

PT 109, was on patrol Solomon
With a 12-man crew in a plywood boat.
A Japanese destroyer plowed through the night
Ramming and cutting Kennedy's boat in two.

Two crewmembers simply disappeared
A third was badly burned.
Kennedy himself was thrown on deck
Where in the pain of his leadership he earned.

Some of his men had never learned to swim
As he was joined on the front pump.
The hours passed tell it seemed it would sink
So they made an island, and here's how.

He ordered those who could swim
The others were clinging to a beam.
Kennedy grabbed the injured sailor
And they walk through the flow of the ocean.

With his teeth clenched on the straps of the vest man burned
Skipper Kennedy swam 3 miles.
5 hours later they all realized
Despite their difficulties, sharks, and trials.

The next problem is how to seek help
Without arousing the enemy all around.
After several attempts swimming to other islands
Eventually two natives in a canoe were found.

Kennedy scratched a note on a coconut
To be delivered to a remote base 38 miles.
The message was made and they were saved
And their courage still lives today.

FIRST WORLD WAR

FLY-BOYS

First World War gave us the fly-boys
Who flew by the seat of their pants.
Many will never return to war
While others survived by chance.

Their planes were mostly canvas and wood
Gasoline, bullets, bombs and poison gas.
Every pilot carried his own gun
Wearing leather, scarf and goggles of glass.

Aviators had no parachutes
To escape their burning plane.
Many were forced to jump to death
Or self inflect a bullet in the brain.

Blimps where known as battleships of the sky
The roar of their engines gave reason for fear.
They flew so high they were hard to kill
Hiding above clouds till their targets drew near.

Tracer for the first time were used
In aircraft guns set fire airship.
The sky became the highway man death
With duty and honor their desire to drive.

How many Fly-boys have we lost since
These days the Great War and more?
Where do we find such brave souls of chance
Who will raise the rest in the battles of the war?

THE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR

In 1860, life was good
Until its simplicity stopped one day.
The North wanted to save the Union
While the South chose to break.

America was torn
As six hundred thousand deaths.
Throughout four years of war Total
Women without husbands cried.

The sad reality of civil war
Is he still at its end.
Too often, ill acts of men
Destroys both enemy and friend.

The problem is, once it has begun
There was no peace or compromise.
Total victory must be proclaimed
Before rage would leave men's eyes.

Destroy everything that contributes to the enemy
Was the cry from every side.
Anything to obtain victory
While the death rode.

Black men dressed old uniforms
Became subject to the Union.
They fought and died for their freedom
And their rights they have won and they deserve.

Lifestyle forever change
For those who survived the war.
It had ended as it began
With sadness, misery and more.

Both parties have requested the same God
And spoke words from the Bible.
The prayers of both has not answered
For all involved were liable.

THE FRONTIER OF KANSAS

Coronado, in his quest to find gold for Spain
Was the first European on the green Kansas plane.
Explorers and traders were from France.
They saw the buffalo and the Indians who danced.

At the mouth of the Kaw were campfires in the dark
Two men on the river named Lewis and Clark.
Many Indians, driven from the East
Relocated to Kansas, where buffalo feast.

Thus, many a cowboy decided to stay
It was not very long and most Indians were forced to leave.
When Missouri joined the Union slave states equaled the free.
Which way would Kansas vote, Congress had eager to see?

The Heart-Landers were bleeding, their cities are on fire
Like Raiders of the slave states tried to force their wishes.
Regulation of Lawrence was sacked by a mob
In revenge came John Brown, who would kill and steal.

Kansas joined the Union as the Civil War began.
After four long years of tragedy, many women lost their man.
Cattle trails met the railroads as they pushed across the state.
Farmers planted corn and wheat as the buffalo awaited their fate.

Those days are gone since border long, though the sunflower is still here
My childhood home of Kansas where the buffalo with the deer.

Black Bridge POWDER

A courier rider hands his papers to me
They are instructions from Robert E. Lee.
I am advised that the time has come
To stop the movement of troops on the line of the Rock Island.

I gather my men and they load the boats
We powder pistols and darken our our coats.
Traveling the currents, the sun slipped from view
As brave men with a purpose have gathered to fight.

We capture a bridge before the moonrise
The Yankees who are here will soon feed the flies.
The evil of war feeds on my brain
As I light the fuse to destroy a train.

Above us a trestle of timber and tar
As we pull our oars for a sand lined with willows.
From the banks of the river, we watch it approach
There are shadows of soldiers in the windows of a coach.

With a burst of bright yellow and a roar in my ear
I hear them scream as that they fall into fear.
The river is boiling in steam, steel rods
Back in their family shall soon sing funeral hymns.

The Lone One survivor was a red stallion stud
I lassoed his neck, and freed from the mud.
As I climb into the saddle beneath the stars that shine
I pray for forgiveness and peace of mind.

War is a lesson we have again eager to learn
When man has that fever kill and burn.
Lord, please forgive me for what I did
To all those I had silenced Some Mother's Son.

THE FEVER OF FEAR

Cannons are bursting hot metal from the earth.
Soldiers are looting and burning our town.
The fever of fear rushes through my veins
Jumping in blue smocks too many troop trains.

Smoke from hot barrels is swirling around
Because four thousand muskets volley their sound.
All my friends have stopped a lead ball
Most scream, then slips and falls.

Even young boy wearing our flag
Now he is dead as he clings to that rag.
Cars with the blood trail wounded on the ground
Death and destruction are easy to find.

The Generals are crying 'because they can not bear defeat
But it's always the soldier who dies on its feet.
Pounding hooves of horses are on a bridge made of planks
As the sunlight reflects saber blades.

I quickly I hid in the roots of a tree
When land has eroded and there is room just for me.
After dark I sneak with the blanket of fog
Then down the river, because I cling to a newspaper.

Songs of their victory, ring out in the night
While the cold, muddy water, I see their Firelight.
It reminds me of my old country church
When the preacher of the Word of God spoke of his holy perch.

That seed of all conflict began in a cave
When man, like the wild wolf had to prove it was brave.

THUNDER IN THE GROUND

The guns are bellowing from a ridge far
Lines battle are training and there is little time to pray.
Musket balls are pelting like hailstones from the sky
I am so full of fear because I do not want not die.

Beyond this hill is a terrifying noise
This is the music of trumpets and there's thunder in the ground.
Fast-riding troopers have all drawn their swords.
It is shouting and screaming that they charge up the gorge.

It is difficult to imagine how to do so through
As they hacking and shooting at the boys dressed in blue.
Then come the soldier men who walk on their feet
Every time I fall, my heart skips a beat.

There's a storm on the ground because of death, dust and smoke
My throat is so dry I can not help but choke.
The fury of the battle is bound to move
When most fighters are dead field.

After dark, the stretcher-bearers are afraid to look around
The wild hogs eat the wounded and I can not stand the noise.
Dawn, Come, digging ditches for all the brave men dead
Then quote words from our Bible allows them to request the sky in.

SLAVERY

When you chain the neck of a slave
The other end attaches to you.
Your heart and soul is corrupt
And all the harm you are doing.

No government shall exist for long
Who are the people are not really free.
Although worldwide, there are those
Who are blind to how life should be.

All that must enslave others
Dwell in their own misery
After death, they'll join their master
In this place, he fell from the sky.

But until then we will fight and resist
To make their hotel chains.
And those of us who die early May
Top is sure of heaven and pray

Brother Against Brother

As part of becoming officers
The young people of West Item bonded like brothers.
Till roomers of Civil War transformed friend to foe
As many cadets chose to serve others.

Fifty-five of sixty major battles fought
Were lead by graduates of the long gray line.
Yankees and rebels plundered each Other
To kill and loot the virtues of the time.

More than six hundred thousand soldiers were consumed
Not to mention the multitudes of population.
Cities, farms and countryside were devastated
Before our Union was restored to a nation.

THE LITTLEST SOLDIER

Nine year old Johnny Clem who stood just four feet high
Fled to Ohio to meet the call of his country.
He joined the Union and became a drummer boy
Soon to prove the gun he wore was far more a toy.

Armed with a sawed-off shotgun, cut to fit him just
He shot a Rebel horseman who tried to be in.
Awarded his sergeant's stripes and a silver medal
His comrades offered him hot coffee from their kettle.

Newspapers North gladly published his story
Narration of the nine year old who won the glory of his country.

THE BATTLE

The moon is Sky High
And perfectly round
Because it emphasizes the beauty
Land dispute.

Life is a journey
Where the channel is clear.
After it is stopped
For the living and for you.

Carnage tomorrow
We will survive only if we can.
Deaths and Dismemberment
By the hand of man.

Some stumble
With the lack of breath.
While other costs
In the face of death.

We'll race to the battle
And pray for the best
Hoping somehow
We pass the test of God.

BUGLES

Their red and blue, ragtag flag stood out
Cons uniforms dusty gray.
We fought savagely to kill our enemy
As the battle raged in the heat of the day

Volley after volley we put forward our Blaze
With thousands of led balls snapping flesh and bone.
Blistering sweat rolled down their faces
Like the tunes of war by bugles were blown.

There was a rattling of sticks in barrels
As each new minieball was loaded and fired.
Some shot aimlessly into the smoke
While others took aim at the worn and tired.

Bullets were popping as the fourth of July
Yet our enemy loomed ahead.
Suddenly they broke and fled in groups
Scattering for the forest they fled.

From behind the protection of a stacked stone wall
The victorious cheered or just sat with
In all bodies of friend and foe
While for the wounded the surgeons were caring.

Soon the war was over and I survived
Despite its brutality on a clay court.
From boy to man, I was transformed
Although, always at night, I hear the sound.

LEAF ON WATER

America's East Coast was colonized by the British
As the Indians rule began to recede.
After more than a battle, they lost their land
Give the power of the white man and greed.

In the years to come like a leaf on the water
The Indians were swept away by the white man.
As trappers and pioneers pushing westward
Deaths and illnesses is grounded.

With the colonies White came the fur trade
Followed by soldiers, forts, whiskey and fitness tools.
None of this has enabled Indians to survive
Who chose make war, and break the rules of the white man.

Many treaties were made to be broken
For those who are ready for land, timber, furs and gold.
Prospectors arrived to plunder the land
And to be farmers, the Indians said.

The battle raged, the prairies of the West
Over mountains and across desert sands.
Indians proved formidable enemy
As both sides fought from afar and hand to hand.

Lieutenant Colonel Custer, led his cavalry
In search of fame and tribal disgrace.
But instead he and his men were massacred
By hostile Indians with paint on their faces.

Around the campfire Rosebud and Pine Ridge
Song of the warriors danced till Sitting Bull's death.
Most were forced to surrender at Wounded Knee
Where many sad Indian drawing their last breath.

With their fighting spirit completely broken
And their ancient tribal ways forever disappeared.
Proud Indians have been transferred to reserves
When their story once in the life of the great songs on.

THE Hinge of History

The hinge of history swings in all directions
As the events of the past are recorded.
Out of everything that has happened since the beginnings of man
Less has been recorded than waits to be found.

Babylonians kept chronicles of history
Hebrews wrote the past as a dramatic story.
Greeks had no faith in the Future
Believing mans repeated errors Doom glory.

Christians added a new dimension to the story
Looking forward to the return of Christ on earth.
An ongoing drama involving man and God
Believing all are created equal value.

Some have asked why must we study history
It just encourages us to live in the past.
When we forget our history we repeat its mistakes
As the outcome of humanity is cast.

THE ALAMO

The leaves of the poplar stood motionless
As outside the walls Santa Anna's horde closed in.
A small band of Texans watched and waited
Concerned by combat and how life would end.

The battle raged from building to building
Till chapel of the old mission was the last fall.
Over 180 Texans died fighting to the man
Never to return, surrender or crawl.

Six weeks later Sam Houston rallied forces
With "Remember the Alamo" as their battle cry.
Attacking and defeating Santa Anna's army
For Independence Texas or die.

The Spanish word for "Cottonwood" is "Alamo"
The long time popular name for the mission.
Today, big-wall old chapel still stands
Preserved as a shrine of sacrifice and tradition.

GENERAL WASHINGTON

Once in command, he boxed in the British
In Boston, where he captured Dorchester Heights
Overlooking the British to his thank you
While his men aimed their gun sites.

The British commander had but one choice
To navigate to New York to renew combat.
Where the English had a much larger force
Who soon chased the men in Washington in mid-flight.

They continued on Pennsylvania
After crossing the Hudson in retreat
With British forces in pursuit
It seemed that George was doomed to defeat.

When winter seems to have stopped the fight
That's when Washington crossed the Delaware.
On Christmas night, he captured Trenton
Where Hessians were surprised and unaware.

He whipped the British at Princeton
Where in victory his men began to sing.
Washington then wintered at Morristown
Train its troops for combat in spring.

Washington fought bravely at Brandywine
And again to a place called Germantown
But the British were the victors
As the dead of both sides covered the ground

The Americans were blessed early that spring
When the French entered the war on their side.
Though most suffered frostbite at Valley Forge
With the help of the French they marched in stride.

The fighting rages on in North and South
While the king's soldiers ravaged the earth.
Washington himself was in great distress
Pleading for his help Command weakened.

His prayers were answered by 5,000 soldiers
And a French fleet who took Chesapeake Bay.
They repressed Cornwallis at Yorktown
Who handed the victory to play drums.

Yorktown was really the end of the war
Although not quite realized that much yet.
But the British soon grew tired of the fight
And how its end were signed and set.

Washington yearned to retire at home
But his country chose him first president.
Cheering crowds waved flags of love and support
Because they believed that "he," God has been sent.
