What are the best English saddles us close? Besides the installation of the horse and rider?
What else should I know to buy a good (not necessarily TOP) saddle for my daughter who wants to hunter / jumper and combined with some training in dressage? She needs a dressage saddle separate shows combined training?
I have a Bates Caprilli Close Contact Saddle with Cair and underpanels system interchangeable gullet. It was expensive ($ 1800), but I think it was a worthwhile investment. It is well made and extremely comfortable. If your daughter does not his own horse, the system of interchangeable jaws is great because it can adjust the tree to adapt to whatever it is horseback riding. I was between Bates and close contact with the feces Collegiate esophagus interchangeable, but finally settled on Bates because it was more comfortable (I sat inside the store tack and fell in love with her - is how it is!) and because I spoke to two different owners Tack Shop and both told me that Bates has a high resale value used. A close contact saddle is ideal for hunter-jumper and cross-country and stadium aspects of training combined. It will probably do fine in the beginning levels in dressage (especially if she starts to walk with tests trot) with close contact, but it will eventually need to invest in a dressage saddle separate. My advice would invest only in close contact to begin with, it may eventually prefer more riders hunter and combined training in May, it has never really need a dressage saddle. If she remains faithful to the combined training, you can always invest in a dressage saddle in the future.
