Girth Roller Buckles
Wintec Saddle Billet Strap trouble?
I have a 500 series Wintec with CAIR panel system and I always use the same holes on my belt. The outer layer synthetic woven around the inside of my wrist ticket has cracked and pulled each side of hole. I had this problem on my saddle Tuffrider too. Is this the way I tighten the strap, or is it the saddle. I use a Wintec girth with roller buckles. I have a two year warranty, so I decided to Getting It fixed anyway, but how can I avoid this in future? Thank you I feel like if I can not buy a leather saddle because I'm only fifteen and I do not clean my bridal leather as I should. I do not want to take on something that I must clean every month.
It's part of the problem with "plastic" billet. In fact, we used to call that "the materials Naugahyde. It there is no real way to "save" you can try rotating the use of holes that the other poster suggested, but that's all. Looks like you'll be sending your Wintec saddle back every few years to new billets. My now 40 years Stubben Siegfried is still that original billet and had a lot of wear over the years.
