Horse Summer Sheet
Why do horses wear blankets to heat?
I'm just curious to know why the horses have blankets in the summer next?, I do realize that they are fly, but probably leaves isn't that hot to have something draped over their bodies? I 2 horses and I could not imagaine do this for them.
Flip accualy alow them to be cooler in direct sunlight. They do their job and protect horse flies and inoiences other horses, but it also gets them out of direct sunlight. Therefore, it dosnt heat up the body as fast. Loose leaves are very light in the material and breze very capable. Its cool and comfortable for them, even with masks fly. Its worth it. All my horses outside wear loose leaves and a mask while in fact preventing them from fleeing and flys prottects them from the sun heat. When he is hott out, it is very important to provide excess water. A have essentially painted white and has a tendency to sunburn and I put sunscreen on the face and nose and fly sheet worked wonders
