Leather Trail Barrel
What's best for the competitive horse rides, Western or English?
I have both but I'm not sure I want to use. both are about the same weight, and did not suit me and my horse. the west is a saddle trail although I have a barrel racing saddle i could also used. English saddle is all purpose.both are comfortable on long rides. Who would you recommend and why? also recommend you get a breastcollar leather to go with him (to keep the saddle in place on hills?) thank you! thank you for all those who have already responded that it helped a lot! but Q I have one more quick: I'm looking to halter and bridle and combined breastcollar match (which would be much less hassle in my opinion) would be of nylon be okay? or does rub on the horse?
The saddle endurance is indeed the best choice here ... because they are built lightweight and stylish for comfort - for both rider and horse. If you are going to be a serious competitor in this type of event you should really consider saving for one, believe me you appreciate it. 
But since you have a saddle or Western or English your choice for the moment, this really depends on your personal preferences and the event will be in. the event is going to be very long? Will you need to take things with you on the track or will they be provided? If you are going to take things like water or supplies with you in the saddle bags are both equipped stool to do what you need? Do you already have a breast collar? If so and it is pressed, then certainly use ... It will help you stay in the saddle and the saddle on the horse as you go up and down everywhere. If you do not have a breast collar, you should get one - neoprene lining would be a good idea because of all the movements of the horse will do. Do not forget however that this would be a good idea to break into as many as possible before the event so you do not cause rubbing or blisters. And remember that the horse likes ...- he / she have a preference of the saddle and rugs they carry best with?
