Neoprene Western Girth
Has anyone tried to ride in bareback pad?
I played with a pad bareback get for my mare. She's an appaloosa and I earned her a flange of the West a few years ago, it looks beautiful in. I can not afford a western saddle, so thought get a bareback pad. I saw two types - "non-slip neoprene with those below, or those of the Standard sheepskin underneath that look much better. Do standards slipping? I want one with stirrups, even though I know you can not climb or lean on them too, and therefore best friend who are outside. Also, am I right in thinking that I can attach a breastplate west of the large buoy that calipers and glue them on the circumference? Thank you!
I used two types (standard and neoprene) and I think I prefer the neoprene. I will definitely use armor all and every time you use a bareback pad. Since the platform does not have a saddle tree like the fact she could easily slip back and that you have one seriously freaked horse on your hands if she has finished with the buffer around his hips. You do not know if a western breastplate work or not ... I would not to be heavy with it and pulling on the pad. You can buy fleece and nylon breastcollars very inexpensive, and could work equally well. Do Never carpet bareback with stirrups, and if you buy one that has them, remove them. They are definitely not safe or appropriate in all circumstances. You could try eBay or checking the local newspaper for good deals on used western saddles, having set aside for a while and if you are always interested in having one. Also see if your local does 4H Tack Swap event each year ... I got great deals on tack and equipment. Good luck!
