Paddock Boots Front
Rhinos trotting toward me and, bowing his head, normal?
I work in a zoo and, recently, about 7 o'clock I was on my way back to a pen of animals when I stopped to watch the Rhinos. The paddock Rhino is so great that they have tons of space to run and play about. I stopped and looked at him for a minute or two. I had my uniform, my wading boots and my hair and long ponytail. As I stopped, one rhino stopped, looked at me and began to trot toward me as if I had known the longest. It was crazy since I have never cleaned their pens, or participated in them. He had come all the way to the moat as far as he could go, turned to the side so he could get a look at me. Then he preceded bending the head downwards and make these strange sounds. I thought I might be upset or something I contuined on my way. But all day I made my way back to the animal paddock I normally clean, and as I walk by it contuine this process. I asked my colleagues Zookeeper why he did that, she didn't know.
Perhaps territorial.Or HES is perhaps something you got his attention;) .... Maybe he wants to be your friend or something??
