Any one know A-Pro bono lawyer willing to take a case for girls riding bulls in High School Rodeo.?
My daughter is 17 and bulls on APRA and other local rodeo associations here in Pa. We have asked the High School Rodeo to enable it to up there, but because they are not associated with the school, they are not covered by Title IX. At least we think not. We are required to have passing grades and are required to obtain a signature of our principle of allowing children to ride in High School Rodeo, but As the High School and Little Britches rodeo associations refuse to allow girls to go. September my daughter will be 18 years and plans to get his PRCA and its map of PBR Challenger in January 2009. I do not understand why they would not give girls the same opportunities as boys. I feel its a case of discrimination very well, but unfortunately we can not afford to fund a lawyer to handle the matter. My daughter wants to ride bulls in college and Title IX will give him that chance, but high school rodeo does not seem to care. Any help would be appreciated.
Call the local ACLU. They will help, and free.
