Calling all competitions and horse owners show?
I need tips, advice and comments on getting me and my horse ready for our Saturday show, and other things to thank you for helping us in the ring. I'll be showing Showmanship, Halter Mare Halter open walk, trot class, western pleasure, open western pleasure, horsemanship, and trail .... Even if you show in the west you can still help! All opinions and advice are welcome! you are the best .... you always make me feel better!
Wash your horse before, a clip and then bridlepath, start and ears. Once you cut, then spray liberally with Laser Sheen (See also reflect light), make sure you pulled his hair and sprayed and banded so it will lay nicely over the next day. Spray tail with Laser Sheen, then braided and bagged tail for the night. Use a piece of day or blanket, depending on how cool it will get during the night, make sure it has its own stand overnight with fresh chips. Clean your Tack that night and if you have a sack coat, it will add a sparkle to your saddle, bridle and leather of your rope. Clean your money well. Adjust your clothing and you have no bags of clothes for them, a large trash bag in the kitchen will work with a hole in the Botton for the hanger. Just before your first halter class, give him a slight rubbing baby oil, nose, eyes and ears. Also hit his shoes with nail polish and once it is dry, all white on the legs with the cornstarch. After them all fun and good luck!
