Running Martingale Horse
What are the rules working hunter and restrictions?
So I make my first serious hunter class work tomorrow (done that once before the old horse. It was a very Spontanious case), and I'm ready, even if I need to know if I may use the following: -- Running Martingale - Stick / crop / whip (what you call it) - Boots (for horses) And also can I use a Numnah? showing some classes are stupid this kind of thing. If so, black ok? as my horse is bay, and black looks very nice. Any help is much appreiciated! Thank you x
Personally, I prefer not to see martingales in a world class heritage but no, they are generally not against the rules. Showing a short cane is preferable, there are rules regarding the length of the stick allowed, ie no dressage whips! List canes are the most popular and which are not for Nice. N glittery jumping whips, or if you please! Boots may be worn during the jumping phase and should be removed before your show. Most judges will kindly find their clipboard most interesting ever while your fiance away the boots, if your show is immediately after your jump. Numnah must be clear and must match the color of your saddle, so brown is preferable. Brown always looks better, whatever the color horse! At no time if you have a huge cover up. The rules depend on the class whose company is affiliated with. If it is a class unaffiliated type NPS serves as the reference standard, but if not written and is not affiliated, not a rule. (This does not mean you can go talk to the judge, I'm just saying ...)
