Is there a weight limit on Bosal?
I have a Bosal a friend, and I intend to use in 2-3 years jaws net WSCA old and perhaps furturity. It was about as heavy as anyone I've seen WSCA Champ Show. Does anyone know if there is a limit "weight" on how it can be heavy?
You should contact the Secretary of the WSCA and request an updated copy of their book regulation by their website. http://www.wsca.org/pages/chairs.html The only limitation you may encounter when using a Bosal is a limitation on the circumference the Bosal and you may not use a Bosal or with a metal wire base. http://www.usef.org/documents/ruleBook/2009/27-WS.pdf The above link is to the Federation Equestrian U.S. which regulates not only international / national competitions, but also compete in the divisions of English and Western. Many performances take full class rules of USEF rule book. There is a paragraph on the use of hackamores / Bosal in their rule book. You can read this information before receiving your rule book of the WSCA Secretary.
