Summer Horse Sheet
Blankets for horses in summer?
In the show season I wash my horse usually two days before a show. However, it rolls always becomes muddy again. Is there a type of form that I can put on it to keep its own? We show in the summer, so it must be lightweight. In fact, what is a piece of dress used for?
A fly sheet will not keep the horse clean enough to show. A sheet nylon light will keep the horse clean, but your best bet is to bath the night before / morning of the show, and then keep the horse in a clean and dry. A leaf dress is for presentations and to keep the horse clean classrooms at a show. It is not meant to be left on a horse that has proved or kept overnight.
