Tie Down Horse
What is the best way to break a horse to lay their heads?
I do not think it's a real serious problem, but every time we are trying to stop, she will throw her head before stopping completely. It will also run the head up and down when she is just standing still, even when the reins are loose. We want to be able to fix this without using a link down. Power be corrected? If yes, how?
Deffinitly check its teeth ... a word of advice for everyone ... "A HEAD OF TYING HORSES DO THEIR CHEST not solve the problem .. YOU are just "band-HELP" IT OR appearance that is committed "... to go to the root of the problem .. not just the head strap below ... there's a reason it does. . whole check on his back, even .. .. Make sure your saddle and bridle fits correctly. Try put a bridle Nice soft rubber in his mouth .. this will increase the wettness in his mouth and make him more willing to accept it. Just spend time working it slowly .. repeatingly asking him to "Whoa" .. when she gives you a whoa "nice", without any resistance be sure to reward her heavily. Take it slow And work on it ... it is a very common problem in horses that is fixed daily by trainers ... with a little time & TLC this problem can be resolved.
